DIED

LANGSLOW - At 12 o'clock noon Tuesday, January 7, 1913 at the home of her son, Stratton G. LANGSLOW, No. 241 Alexander street, Katherine M. LANGSLOW, widow of Henry Acton LANGSLOW. She is survived by three sons, Louis A. LANGSLOW and Stratton G. LANGSLOW, of Rochester, N. Y. and one son by a former marriage, residing in Prince Edward Island, Canada; one daughter, L. Helena M. LANGSLOW, of Rochester, N. Y., and eight grandchildren. Mrs. LANGSLOW was born February 4, 1819, in Prince Edward Island, Canada.
-The funeral and burial will be private.

VAN CAMP - At the Honeopathic Hospital, Monday, January 6, 1913, Emmett VAN CAMP, one of the attendants at the Monroe County Court House.
-The remains will be at the parlors of Ingmire & Thompson until 10 A. M. to-day (Wednesday), when they will be taken to Skaneateles, N. Y., his former home for the funeral and burial.

RICE - In this city, Tuesday, January 7, 1913, at the family residence, No. 115 Spencer street, Thomas W. RICE, retired "captain" of the Rochester Fire Department. He leaves his wife, Phobe(?) A. ---- RICE, and one sister, Mrs. Mary LEARY, of this city.
-The funeral will take place Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the house, and from the Cathedral at 9 o'clock.

MAPLES - At New York city, Sunday, January 5, 1913, Ella Phelan MAPLES, formerly of this city.
-Funeral Thursday morning at 9 o'clock from Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

REDFIELD - At Clifton springs, Tuesday morning, January 7, 1913, Charles M. REDFIELD, aged 71 years.
-Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the St. John's Episcopal Church, Clifton Springs. Burial in the Clifton Springs cemetery.

HAYWARD - Monday night, January 6, 1913, at his home, No. 510 Court street, Edward HAYWARD, aged 47 years. He is survived by two children, Clarence M. and Ruth H. HAYWARD; his mother, two brothers, George, of Montreal, P. Q., and William, and two sisters, Eva J. and Blanche HAYWARD.

McDONOUGH - Monday evening, January 6, 1913, at the General Hospital, Della McDONOUGH, wife of James McDONOUGH, aged 55 years and 11 months.
-Funeral Thursday morning at 8:30 from Rossenbach's Funeral Chapel, No. 317 West avenue, and at 9 o'clock from St. Monica's Church. Interment in Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

SCHAFT - In this city, at his residence, No. 70 Grand avenue, Monday afternoon, January 6, 1913, Henry D. SCHAFT, aged 47 years. He is survived by his father, Henry SCHAFT; one sister, Mrs. Henry HILL, of Penfield. He was a member of Germania Lodge, No. 722, F anf A. M., Damasus Temple. Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and of Rochester Lodge, No. 24, B. P. O. E.

SHANAHAN - At Park Avenue Hospital, Tuesday morning, January 7, 1913, Raymond W., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. SHANAHAN.

COURT OFFICERS TAKE ACTION ON DEATH OF COMRADE

Memorial resolutions were adopted at a meeting of the Monroe County Court Officers' Association, in the Court House, yesterday, called to take action on the death of Emmett VAN CAMP, John CAWTHRA presided and James H. BREEZE and Lawrence DAVIS were a committee to draft resolutions.

Mr. VAN CAMP was a native of Skaneateles and was 63 years old at the time of his death. He was more than twenty-five years in the employ of the New York Central railroad and was selected as one of the staff of attendants with which the present Court House opened in 1896. Successive sheriffs attested their appreciation of his services by reappointing him in their memorial, his brother officers say:

"A silent (unreadable) he was not one whose deeds are blazoned in the public press, but his superiors and associates knew and prized Emmett VAN CAMP'S courage, devotion to duty and unquestioning obedience. Faithful to a fault and absolutely reliable, he was one man always counted upon for efficient service in those emergencies that add hazard to the routine of the county officer's duties.

Mr. VAN CAMP's remains were removed to Skaneateles by relatives for burial in the family plot. The court officers sent a floral piece and forwarded a copy of the memorial resolution to the family.

DEPARTMENT STORE COMPLAINS

Accuses Man Arrested in Detroit of Theft of $55.

Detective SIENER left Monday night for Detroit to bring back Morton CHASE, 21 years old, who is wanted here on a charge of grand larceny, second degree, the alleged theft of $55 from the Duffy-Powers Company. CHASE was arrested on Monday.

A year ago CHASE was sentenced to Elmira Reformatory for stealing an automobile belonging to H. H. STEBBINS, Jr., of this city. He was arrested by Detective SIENER in Avon. Before that he was arrested in Lyons on a charge of stealing a motorcycle. He was released on parole from the reformatory last fall and shortly afterward was accused of theft in the department store.
