REGISTER YOUR DOG
Since the registration season
began, the pound wagons have gathered in 700 tagless dogs, of which number
519 have been destroyed and the remainder claimed by their owners. There
have been 134 arrests for violation of the registration ordinance.
If you
harbor an unregistered dog for three (3) days, no matter what its age, or
whether allowed to run at large or not, you are liable to arrest. Do not
wait until the pound officials are investigating on your street then it will
probably be too late. Call at the City Clerk's office and register and tag
your dog at once, or send it to the City Pound. Do not longer take the
chance of paying $6 instead of $1.
