George Hollenbeck Blamed the Weather For His Bad Luck

Because he had become discouraged over the farm situation, George HOLLENBECK, who works the PULLMAN farm just east of Sodus village, tried to take his life Tuesday night. He swallowed arsenic and then started for the home of his brother, Robert HOLLENBECK, some miles distant, in order that he might die there.
He informed his brother what had happened, and a physician was sent for without delay. Dr. Charles F. HITCHCOCK soon arrived and the stomach pump was used to good advantage. After a time HOLLENBECK was declared out of danger. He moved from South Sodus to the farm near Sodus April 1st. Owing to the extremely bad farming weather this season he says he became completely discouraged and did not care to live longer.
