Storm Bound - The Snow Blocked on the Peanut Railroad

West Bloomfield, N. Y., Feb. 10 - A severe storm has raged here since Wednesday evening. Snow fell to the depth of eight or ten inches during Wednesday night. Thursday a.m. the drifting commenced at an early hour. None but the morning mail train was able to get through on the "peanut" road. Train No. 3 is snow-bound, headed westward, about three miles east of Batavia, and No. 4 about two miles east of Batavia eastward bound. No mails have been received on this line since Thursday a.m., nor do we hear over the wire of any effort being made to either dig out or push through the abandoned trains. Postmaster P. F. LEECH is making arrangements to send to Canandaigua overland (a distance of fourteen miles) to-day the outward mail from his office and receive the mail due here.
