ASSAULT AND BATTERY - "Puss" Allen, Thos. Alexander, Patrick Daley and Dell Milliner, were arrested yesterday by detective Dresser and Capt. Sullivan for an assault and battery committed by them last Sunday, on one Sebastian Colehagan and wife.

INDICTED. - Wm. S. Kimball, tobacconist of this city, was indicted at a term of the United States Court now being held at Albany, for making false Internal Revenue returns.

    Margaret Gunn - drunk and disorderly. Required to give ball for good behavior.
    Catherine Ham - a woman who escaped from the watch-house. Sentenced to the Penitentiary.
    Thomas O Brien - vagrancy. Sentenced sixty days to the M. C. P.

HALL - CURRY. - At Utica, Jan 23d, by Rev. Dr. Fowler, Charles Edgar Hall, of Poughkeepsie, and Emma Jennette, daughter of the late Elizah P. Curry.

DIED.
SCRIVENS - In this city, Jan. 28th, Mrs. Louisa, wife of William Scrivens, aged 49 years and 3 months.
    Funeral will be attended from the house, No. 36 Griffith street. on Friday, at 2 o clock P. M., and at 3 o clock P. M. at the Calvary Church. Friends of the family are invited to attend.

BIXBY - ln this city, on Monday, Jan. 27th, Emily Bixby, aged 57 years, relict or the late Chester Bixby.
    Funeral on Thursday, at 11 o clock A .M., from the residence of her son-in-law, Richard Leak, No.125 Monroe street.

GALUSHA - In this city, Tuesday morning, January 28th, of scarlet Fever, Jay Cooke, youngest son of Elon C. and Julia A. Galusha, aged 4 years and 6 months.
