THE LADY WHO DISAPPEARED - Mrs. GILBERT of Yates, Orlean county who disappeared so mysteriously and who was found at Suspension Bridge, did not return home as stated. She stopped near Medina with a relative and alleged as a cause for her unwillingness to return that the children did not treat her kindly. On the night that she left home she walked eighteen miles and stopped at the "Checkered Tavern," which is, we believe, in Hartland, and the next day she walked to Suspension Bridge and took lodgings the second night in one of the railroad buildings there. She is probably not in sound mind.
