A CARD

To the citizens of Rochester and its vicinity, who assisted at the fire on the morning of the 5th inst., and by whose kind and active exertions some of my property was rescued from destruction, I offer my grateful thanks. Some hazarded their persons at a very late and dangerous period, to save the goods from the flames, whose generous conduct will not soon be forgotten. I also feel grateful to those who took care of and stored them after the fire. I have prevented, by the trouble of removing and regulating my property, from tendering my thanks at an earlier period.
