This is the HOME page of the Wyong Family History Group which operates out of the research centre located at "The Cottage", Wyong Community Cultural Centre, 6 Rankens Court, Wyong, NSW (Entrance via the old school grounds)
Our meetings are held at 7.00pm on the 2nd Thursday night of each month between February and November at Wyong Community Cultural Centre, 6 Rankens Court, Wyong.
Workshop days are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month between 9.00am and 2.30pm at the Tuggerah Information Centre (Library), Westfield Shopping Centre, Cobbs Rd, Tuggerah, NSW.
Our resources and research assistance are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10.00am and 3.00pm and on the fourth Saturday of the Month between 1.00pm and 4.00pm at Wyong Community Cultural Centre, 6 Rankens Court, Wyong, Charges : Members - free; Non-members $5.00 for 10.00am - 12.00noon and $5.00 for 1.00pm - 3.00pm

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the group will be held at 'The Cottage" on Thursday 11 September 2008, commencing at 7.00pm. Nominations for positions on the Management Committee must be forwarded to 'The Cottage' by 4 September 2008. Nomination Forms may be obtained from 'The Cottage'
Ancestry.com has arrived and we are set to go! Ancesty.com is available free to members on two computers at the cottage, PC 2 and PC 3, however to use it you must ring and book your time. You can do that by phoning 'The Cottage' on 4351-7373 on Tuesday to Wednesday between 10.00am and 3.00pm. You can book for up to 2 hours (e.g. 10.00am - 12noon or 1.00pm - 3.00pm). Bookings can also be made for the fourth Saturday between 1.00pm - 4.00pm. Take advantage of this service and track down many of your lost ancestors.
A change to the Tuggerah Library Workshop will take place from November 2008 when the day will move from the 2nd Saturday to the 3rd Saturday of the month.
There will be a Seminar on the 8th November 2008 with guest speakers from State Records. See the link in the marquee above
WFHG will be holding the 2009 NSW & ACT Association of Family History Societies State Conference on Friday 18th September, Saturday 19th September and Sunday 20th September at Wyong Racecourse with the theme From Home to the Hinterland. More news will be published here as it comes to hand but keep it in mind as a lot of hard but rewarding work is ahead of us.
