Aderhold-Kolb Cemetery

This cemetery is next to and across the pipeline from 1700 West Park off Fulton Industrial 
Boulevard.  Once Campbell County but now Fulton County
Center of cemetery is at: N33 42.645/W084 36.216.
Park at: N33 42.670/W084 36.200.

No parking allowed on side of road, so jump the curb and park on the pipe line right-of-way.
Cemetery is in bad condition. However, a family member has cleaned up the Adderhold-Kolb cemetery and uncovered markers long obscured by 
underbrush.  Here are the new results:

Sacred to the memory of Martin Kolb Edge who was born April 30th 1851 and departed this life August 
22nd 1855 age 4 years 3 months and 22 days. 


Sacred to the memory of the Honorable Martin Kolb who was born May 6th 1787 and departed this life 
April 10th 1857 aged 69 years 11 months and 4 days. (Son of Peter Valentine Kolb and Paratheny 
Gates. Peter was a revolutionary war soldier. Martin was born in Greenville, Meriwhether County, 
Georgia. Martins brother, Peter Valentine Kolb II, established Kolb Farm in Cobb County which was 
the site of the Battle of Kolbs Farm in the Civil War. He was a trustee for the Campbellton Academy
which was the first school for higher grades in the area and was located at the site that is 
currently Campbellton Methodist Church on Hwy 92. ) 

In memory of Susan Ann T Kolb consort of Martin Kolb daughter of William & Clary Butt who departed 
this life on the 30th November A.D. 1831 aged 29 years 7 months 13 days
(Susan was born in Warren County Georgia. Her and Martin were married 25th November 1821 and had 6 
known children: Peter W. B. Kolb, Clara P.A. Kolb, Charles Martin Kolb, Sarah Elizabeth Kolb, Mary 
Linney Walton Kolb and Harriet Zemiela Kolb)

In memory of Peter W.B. Kolb eldest son of Martin & Susan Ann T Kolb who departed this life 20th 
October A.D. 1832 age 10 years 10 months.

In memory of Harriet Zemila Kolb the 4th daughter of Martin & Susan Ann T Kolb was born January 9th 
1831 and departed this life December 29th A.D. 1844 aged 13 years 11 months and 20 days.

Martin Kolb son of  James R and Mary Kolb Knott died April 19th 1857 10 months and 7 days old

Sarah Elizabeth Love consort of David D Love daughter of Martin & Susan Ann T Kolb born May 25th 
1827 departed this life August 2nd 1847  20 years 2 months 9 days (David Donnelson Love and Sarah 
had 3 children: David Kolb Love, Martin C "Matt" Love and Charles Beloved Love.  Sarah was born in 
Newton County Georgia, married David in Morgan County Georgia and she died on the Love Plantation 
in Campbell County Georgia. Their first son, David Kolb Love, married Margaret "Maggie" Baker who 
was the daughter of Absalom Baker a pioneer of Cobb County. David Kolb Love was a CSA soldier and 
also part of the Georgia Militia assigned to guard Sweetwater Mill  and areas of the Chattahoochee 
around his father-in-law's ferry. The Kolbs and the Loves were prominent pioneer families in this 
area).
